Maximum Adhesion: By eliminating the time gap between binder application and chip spreading, the aggregate makes contact with the hot, liquid asphalt almost instantaneously. This ensures maximum adhesion and a much stronger, longer-lasting bond between the chips and the road, which is the main advantage over using separate distributor and chip spreader machines.
Common Configurations: The most common chassis configurations for this equipment are 6x4 (3 axles, two driven) or 8x4 (4 axles, two or three driven), providing the necessary stability and load-bearing capacity for the heavy tanks.
